The Connecting Routes Project PARTNERS WITH
ILLINOIS ART STATion for our
First Amtrak Tour:
June 3 - 4, 2024

We’ve partnered with Illinois Art Station to tour The Conductors to the Bloomington-Normal region of Illinois for two performances and a creative drama workshop on June 4, 2024!

As always with The Connecting Routes Project, all events will be offered for FREE to the public! (However, if you’d like to support us with a donation, you can do so at Donorbox!)

Co-produced with Kerfuffle, a theatre and dance company that brings high quality, playful, and emotionally interesting plays to very young audiences, The Conductors features original music and celebrates themes of community, friendship and new experiences - while exploring everywhere a train may take you and everyone it may connect you with. A perfect first theater experience for the very young, our whimsical show encourages audiences to “find their treasure” in everyday adventures, whether it be in blanket forts with grandma or meeting new friends in outer space.

We’re on the right track! Amtrak that is!

The Connecting Routes Project makes theater accessible by touring productions from Chicago by train directly to communities across America's railway network.

We’re thrilled to announce, that for the very first time, we’ll be traveling on Amtrak!

We will travel on Amtrak’s Texas Eagle train route, stay in town for two days, and present our programs in public spaces throughout Bloomington-Normal.

ABOUT OUR PRESENTING PARTNER, ILLINOIS ART STATION

Illinois Art Station provides young artists and families from all neighborhoods and backgrounds with transformative experiences in the visual arts.

IAS especially strives to make these transformative experiences possible for young artists who have the least access otherwise. IAS regularly partners with aligned organizations, groups, and community resources in order to achieve this mission and best serve and inspire our Central Illinois young artists.

Through their programming, IAS provides opportunities for our children and youth to learn, expand, and create – to go out into the world more confident, brighter, and more engaged.

THIS ENGAGEMENT IS partly SUPPORTED BY a Community arts access grant, A PROGRAM OF illinois arts council THAT IS made possible with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Please consider supporting our journey! Your generous (and tax-deductible!) donation will help us connect with communities across the nation and support our artists.

We’re reconnecting.

One story, one community, one train stop at a time.
